drawing game

my friend mona introduced us to this hilarious drawing game. it's prob too complicated to spell out all the rules but basically you end up drawing someone's phrase, then passing to someone who describes your drawing with a phrase, so on and so on. it gets gnarly. here are some highlights that still keep me laughing. somehow "keep tahoe blue" ended up as some patriotic potato and then in another string, we found a grim future for snoopy.

secrets

my friend panda just showed me this blog PostSecret where people anonymously send in postcards decorated with their personal secrets. it's awesome but the mood can change on you pretty dang quick.

formal wear

i was planning on making a bunch of t-shirts for my soon-to-be-born nephew - ones with screenprinted neckties, bowties and a tuxedo front. i just saw this idea online and i may like the bib design better.

footstool fetish

i saw these in the window of vitra on my walk to work this morning. they had them paired with a really awesome couch too. i keep thinking how easy it would be to make something like this but i'd bet money on that never happening. they're designed as seats or footstools and that li'l strap is so you can drag around with ease.

go go gadget

i like this font. found on itsnicethat. the "R' is def my favorite.

jumbo notes

i found this oversized card idea on oh happy day! i think these fold to 8.5x11" and must be like 68x44" when open. i would be really thrilled to unfold one of these on any occasion - marriage proposal?

original work from ali hill who has got some other rad design works on her site.

hungry!

i'm craving salt, browsing martha's food section and fantasizing about all the delicious pretty things i would like to pop into my mouth at this very moment.

home sweet home

I'm kinda mad at myself for not thinking of something like this. I really love how simple it is despite all the patterns, and I'm always trying to use up all my pretty fabric scraps.

See more pics and who made it.

beard warmer

I love this! Can't remember where the heck I found it. I think these would look fantastic on toddlers and grandmas. If I was a better knitter perhaps I could alternate the yarn colors...like a baldy with big ears, a red beard and 'stache.
